Beis Lechem Israel. www.theracheltear.blogspot.com, 718-648-2610 rachelschildren@gmail.com

On Rosh Chodesh Tevet, RCRF hosted programs from Beis Lechem to Brooklyn and they were all reminding the participants that affirmation is the ingredient for renewal.
Rabbi Ephraim Sprecher dean of Diaspora Yeshiva on Mount Zion brought a taste of Jerusalem and Torah truths to Brooklyn and the audience not only noshed salads and pastas, nuts and fruits but wisdom from the story of Miriam and the fact that she knew to say no to the divorce of the fathers and mothers which would cancel the future, doubling the decree of pharaoh, killing the future girls as well as the boys. Not only did she save the girls, she had a brother Moshe Rabbeinue and the Jewish people got the Torah, Eretz Hachodesh, the roadmap, the future. A little girl saying no, the women not giving their jewelry for the golden calf were the true meraglim and a lesson for today. Righteousness comes before wrong. Rabbi Sprecher made the sudience understand that the Greeks wanted to cancel Rosh Chodesh because it was an inspiration for women to understand their merits and their need to affirm. Where would we be without Miriam, without Rachel’s son Yosef who rose from the pit to be a viceroy and save the Jewish people. Where are we when we forget Rachel, Yosef and Miriam. He presented that Chanukah is a nes because the Macabees affirmed themselves and their essence, the essentials for being a righteous people. From victory to brotherly hate, from forgetting Josef we lose. By celebrating Rosh Chodesh, Rachel Imeinu, Miriam and that Yaakov called Ben Oni BenYamin, we learn a lesson for today. Surrendering to lies, self denial is inviting defeat. Inviting defeat even after victory is a crime of cowardliess, halts the coming of the redemption, allows discord to destroy.
RCRF will again be saying yes to Rosh Chodesh in Beit Bnei Rachel and in Brooklyn. In Brooklyn we will view the Documentary Holy Blood aired on Channel 10 on July 21 2013. At Beit Bnei Rachel, we will host the women of Efrat still remembering our murdered Sara Blaustein hyd. Rosh Chodesh Shevat shiurim in Beit Bnei Rachel, this Tuesday, December 31 is sponsored by Ricky Zegelman of Efrat. On Wednesday, Atara Gur, Rachel Imeinu scholar will present her weekly shiur now on Women and the Jewish holidays.
Learning about women and Rosh Chodesh, the month of Shevat is also the renewal of the trees. on Tu B' Shevat, Thursday, January 16, 2014, Annie Orensten of Maale Adumim will present a program on the renewal of the trees, nature, our land, blossoming life. ,
Rabbi Sprecher asked that even with the miracle of Chanukah why isn’t there a full redemption, Is it because some look to the Greeks, the Romans, the unaffiliated and the unafilliating and not their own righteousness that makes them worthy of their inheritance. Come learn with RCRF that the nes is the women, their dreams, strengths, ability to say no and not surrender to irrational obstacles and to say yes to creation, nourishment with Torah, truth and for triumph. Without Rachel Imeinu there would be no Yosef Hatzaddik. Without Miriam there would be no Moshe Rabbeinu.
Because the righteous women merit come celebrate Rosh Chodesh, the holiday for women, their non work day because their work will bring the Redemption because it’s not politics and platitudes, self negation, but creation, affirmation, purity, perseverance for perfection according to the roadmap of Hashem.
